WEBSITE DESIGN PROCESS SIMPLIFIED

The Design and build process explained:

STAGE 1 - Planning and Information Architecture. We visit the client to discuss and refine the brief, review the site architecture and gather enough information to propose the navigation and structure that will be incorporated in the new site, with allowance for growth. This results in a finalized plan and scope where appropriate.

STAGE 2 - Website Design Concepts. After receiving the brief from the client, the first creative phase results in two proposed distinct 'look and feels' of typical pages within the site including the homepage. This is followed by a second creative phase in which we refine the chosen design to include the clients' comments and feedback. Additionally, we provide a proposal for navigation and website structure based on our knowledge and experience of User Interface Design and Website Usability.

STAGE 3 - Website development. After the client approves the 'flat' look and feel for the website design we enter the development phase where we actually build the pages in HTML and process and optimise the graphics and photographs for Internet delivery. We also browser test and test for cross-platform compatibility during this stage. Before this stage commences the client is expected to provide us with all of the text copy and photographs / images required for the website.

STAGE 4 - User Acceptance Testing. After the build is complete we set up the site in a secure, password-protected environment to enable the client to use and test the site to ensure they are satisfied with the result.

STAGE 5 - Go Live. After you have approved the website development we make the site live on the Internet. If you chose to host with Magnet, we provide you with 24 hour live, secure, real-time statistics information on user 'hits'. A back-up mirror location of your website in the United States in the event of a third-party telecommunications failure. One point of contact for all issues, content updates and amendments.
